About the Website
Assalaamu Alaikum, my name is Maryum Abdul-Hakeem and I am the founder of Fatiha2Naas. My childhood dream was always to memorize Quran and become one of the people who can intercede for their loved ones on the day of judgement.
This website started as a blog where I could simply document my journey to complete Quran. But as I dove deeper into Quran and learned more of the final Guidance from Allah (God), I found myself needing to share with others.
I am overcome with a passion for Quran that keeps me coming back to it, no matter how difficult it is to keep going sometimes. Memorizing the entire Quran and maintaining it is no easy task. But with the help of Allah, any dream can come true. Allah is bringing my Quran dreams to life and making them come true. And I want to help other women achieve their Quran dreams too.
Biography
Maryum Abdul-Hakeem is a full time wife, author, and mother of 6 with a passion for songs and rhyme. She has been studying traditional Islamic knowledge, with a focus on Tafseer, for the past 20 years, and holds an ijaza in Risalatu Jam’a a book of Shafi’i Fiqh. She recites in both Hafs and Warsh Narrations of Quran. She is completing an Ijaza in Hafs recitation while memorizing Quran. Alhamdulillah!
She spends her time home-schooling her children, developing the latest modest fashion, and writing poems that inspire love for Allah and His messengers. She has a degree in journalism and a certificate in fashion design.
She helped in founding Miraj Academy an Islamic leadership training Institute for young men and is part of the founding of the Midtown Mosque in Memphis, Tennessee. Catch Maryum and her children exploring the Mississippi River and discovering the beauty in nature.
